    About the house

Now open — Rooms are on sale on Booking.com. Book now

Hygge Haus is a wholly timber-built house, with solid wood used throughout and the warmth of it everywhere. It does not soundproof the way reinforced concrete does, but we have used a number of construction methods to make it comfortable.

Watch the flame in the wood stove, take a book down in the library, and let a long evening go slowly. That is hygge time.

Be healed by the hot spring in four private baths, each fed straight from the source; find your balance in the sauna; and feel the wind of the season on the wooden deck.
