100% natural hot spring, flowing 24 hours a day
Kusatsu is a spa town said to have the greatest natural flow of hot spring water in Japan.
One of the baths has hinoki-clad walls and stone, with coloured glass letting the light in at the window. In that quiet corner of the town there is time simply to sit in the water, with no need to watch the clock. It is a small house of eight rooms, and the baths are private.
